About Netland

I am Paul B. Netland Jr., Certified Internal Auditor (C.I.A.), with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (International Business), a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting), and a Graduate Certificate in Financial Analysis. I served as a Senior Auditor (GS‑12) with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) for almost a decade, with experience ranging from small contracts to nearly One Billion dollars. During my tenure at DCAA, I received a Department of Justice United States Attorney’s Award (2023) for an investigation I worked on.

I specialize in practical, audit‑ready execution – developing audit preparation programs and risk steps, ensuring coverage of fraud risk indicators, producing working papers with substantiating documentation, and drafting reports for leadership and external review. I build reusable templates and analytical Excel workbooks to support compliance monitoring, including federal grant data analytics and drawdown timing calculations based on period of performance, policies / procedures, and applicable requirements. My capabilities include auditing, internal auditing, data analysis, fraud risk, risk assessments, report writing, and strong communication / presentation, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of CAS, FAR, DFARs, GAAP, GAAS, and GAGAS.
